An Opportunity Society
The Kovner Foundation supports efforts to create economic and social conditions that promote opportunity for individuals, especially the underprivileged, to flourish. These conditions include a strong economy to provide job opportunities for everyone, especially the young and neediest; meaningful and effective education for all; and advocacy for the disenfranchised (including the unjustly imprisoned) denied their rights due to miscarriages of justice, government abuse or crony regulation.
We support organizations that promote research and scholarship that recognize the importance of the core principles of the American success story: free expression, free markets, free trade, equality before the law and the principles of limited government.
Public Policy
The Foundation supports research and analysis addressing the critical public policy issues of our times, including a pro-growth agenda and a strong defense. Informed discussions on how to improve and sustain high economic growth and social mobility are a necessary precondition for maintaining an opportunity society that should renew the American dream for every generation.

A fair society provides opportunities for individuals to pursue their dreams without arbitrary obstacles. The Foundation supports research, litigation and advocacy aimed at preventing powerful interests from employing government rules and regulation to gain advantage over the less powerful. In particular, the Foundation supports efforts to prevent government seizure of homes and property through civil forfeiture and eminent domain.
